µTorrent 2.2 23071

µTorrent (spreek uit Micro-Torrent) 2.2 is uitgebracht. Dit is een grote update voor de populaire torrent-client (om bestanden mee te delen) waarin veel vernieuwingen zitten. Zo zijn er nu bijvoorbeeld apps beschikbaar voor µTorrent waarmee u de functionaliteit van het programma kunt uitbreiden.

Ook is de interface van µTorrent vernieuwd en heeft het programma een 'boss key' (als u op het werk aan het downloaden bent...). µTorrent is te downloaden voor Windows, Mac OS X en Linux. Lees hieronder meer informatie. In de link naar het forum staan de complete release notes.

Van torrent-software µTorrent (spreek uit Micro-Torrent) is twee weken terug een beveiligingsupdate uitgebracht. Hierin is een lek dichtgeplakt.

µTorrent is beschikbaar voor Windows, Mac OS X en Linux.

µTorrent 2.0.4 21586

Van torrent-software µTorrent (spreek uit Mu-Torrent) is versie 2.0.4 uitgebracht. Dit is een beveiligingsupdate voor het populaire programma om bestanden mee te downloaden. µTorrent 2.0.4 dicht namelijk een vorige week gevonden lek in Windows met betrekking tot het laden van DLL-bestanden. Tientallen programma's zijn te misbruiken door middel van deze kwetsbaarheid in Microsofts besturingssysteem. µTorrent was daar één van, maar heeft dus nu dit lek al gerepareerd (net als mediaspeler VLC).

Verder zijn nog enkele correcties en verbeteringen doorgevoerd in µTorrent. Lees hieronder alle wijzigingen. µTorrent is beschikbaar voor Windows, Mac OS X en Linux.

µTorrent 2.0.3 is uitgebracht. In deze versie van het populaire torrentprogramma om bestanden mee te delen zijn heel veel kleine verbeteringen en correcties doorgevoerd. Zo zijn enkele crashes en andere fouten opgelost. Ook zijn meer standaard zoekmachines toegevoegd en is IPv6 weer uitgeschakeld onder Windows 7. Lees hieronder alle wijzigingen.

µTorrent 2.0.2 19648

µTorrent 2.0.2 19648 is verschenen. In deze versie van het populaire torrentprogramma om bestanden mee te delen zijn enkele verbeteringen doorgevoerd. Zo is het Micro Transport Protocol (of µTP) onder handen genomen waardoor de prestaties van µTorrent beter zijn geworden.

Release notes:

  • uTP performance and TCP rate control have been greatly improved!
  • BEP22 has been fixed
  • Access denied problems should be virtually non-existent

µTorrent 2.0.1 19248 is een zogeheten bugfix release van het populaire torrentprogramma om bestanden mee te delen. In deze uitgave zijn drie fouten gerepareerd.

Release notes:
- Change: bypass Windows system cache while reading to avoid excessive memory uage
- Fix: invalid header response on WebUI when an expired token or invalid request was sent
- Fix: fixed crash when adding many torrents at once (above 350 they will be added silently)

µTorrent 2.0 18620

In µTorrent 2.0 18620 zijn enkele foutjes opgelost, die een 'bevriezing' verhelpen en een vervelend probleem waarbij de downloadsnelheid elke zestig seconden daalde.

µTorrent 2.0 17920

µTorrent 2.0 17920 kent veel vernieuwingen.

Het belangrijkste is dat uTP als protocol voor bestandsoverdracht in µTorrent 2.0 sterk verbeterd is en ondersteuning voor UDP trackers is toegevoegd. Hierdoor is de betrouwbaarheid van overdrachten groter en wordt het systeem minder belast, doordat de bandbreedte die µTorrent gebruikt automatisch gereguleerd wordt. Internetverkeer van andere applicaties heeft door uTP minder te lijden onder de download van veel bestanden: de bandbreedte van µTorrent wordt automatisch 'afgeknepen'.

Verder is het installatieproces van µTorrent versimpeld en wordt nu bijgehouden hoeveel u downloadt en uploadt door middel van mooie grafiekjes.

Ten slotte zijn sinds versie 1.8.5 heel veel kleine fouten opgelost.
