µTorrent 3.0 25406

Na maanden van testen is µTorrent 3.0 uitgebracht. Deze versie van de snelle torrent-software om bestanden mee te delen kent enkele handige nieuwe functies. Zo is het nu mogelijk om video-bestanden die nog niet compleet gedownload zijn toch al af te spelen. Dit streamen zorgt ervoor dat u niet hoeft te wachten tot een bestand in zijn geheel is binnengehaald.

Een tweede belangrijke vernieuwing is de mogelijkheid om ratings en commentaren te geven bij torrents. Dit zorgt ervoor dat kwalitatief slechte of onveilige torrents door de community snel gebrandmerkt kunnen worden. En goede torrents zijn in een oogopslag herkenbaar.

µTorrent Remote is een nieuwe eigenschap die ervoor zorgt dat u vanaf uw Android smartphone of tablet de downloads op uw pc kunt controleren (download hier de app µTorrent Remote). Hiermee kunt u nieuwe torrents toevoegen en bestaande starten, stoppen en verwijderen. Deze afstandsbediening werkt ook via uw webbrowser door te registreren bij remote.utorrent.com.

Verdere wijzigingen in µTorrent 3.0 zijn een vereenvoudigde interface, een portable versie voor op USB-stick en heel veel stabiliteitsverbeteringen. Ook zijn er weer veel nieuwe apps voor µTorrent.

µTorrent is te downloaden voor Windows, Mac OS X (oudere versie) en Linux. Let op dat u de vinkjes weghaalt voor de onnodige browserwerkbalk en verandering van zoekmachine (zoals u in de video kunt zien)!
