Google Chrome 5.0.375.127
Van Googles browser Chrome is nummer 5.0.375.127 verschenen. In deze versie worden negen beveiligingslekken dichtgeplakt. Twee daarvan zijn kritiek, zes hoog (op een schaal van ernst) en een gemiddeld. Ook wordt een extern lek in de Windows Kernel dat via Chrome kon worden uitgebuit verholpen met een 'workaround' oplossing (een noodverband totdat Microsoft het probleem in Windows oplost).
Voor acht lekken looft Google beloningen uit aan de onderzoekers die de betreffende kwetsbaarheden gevonden hebben.
De update van deze stabiele versie is beschikbaar voor Windows, Mac OS X en Linux. Google Chrome update automatisch op de achtergrond als u de browser opstart. Daar hoeft u niks voor te doen. De eerste Google Chrome 5.0 kwam op 26 mei uit en had veel nieuwe eigenschappen.
